Work description

Lokale Orbits started as a sequence of pieces for solo instrument and tape, whereby sounds, played by the musicians concerned, were recorded for further processing.
Buffer granulation – the accumulation of sound particles – enables transformations of a given sound's "typical" time. In Solo 2, very slow developments concerning pitch and spatialization of the tape part, as well as permutations of the double bass sounds, were developed from the experimental usage of the material and determine the formal process.
